PILOT DIVERTS FLIGHT TO SAN JOSE DUE TO PRESSURIZATION ISSUE.
An American Airlines flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles was diverted on Friday morning to Mineta San Jose International Airport due to a mechanical issue, according to a spokesperson for the airlines.
American Airlines Flight 169 had departed from San Francisco International Airport at 5:57 a.m. en route to Los Angeles International Airport when the captain got an indication of a pressurization issue, spokesperson Matt Miller said.
The captain elected to land in San Jose.
The aircraft, Boeing 737 was at the gate at 6:42 a.m., with six crew members and 159 passengers on board. No one was injured.
As of around 9:45 a.m., a maintenance team was still working on the problem. The plane was scheduled to resume its flight at 10:00 a.m., according to Miller.
